![]() We had a great time in Estes Park for our annual Holiday concert. We performed at the YMCA of the Rockies Hyde Chapel. It was a snowy, cold day, but it was a beautiful scene for our concert. We played Jingle Bells, Jolly Old St. Nicholas, Silent Night and Drummer Boy. ![]() The youngest students made drums to play for Drummer boy. Definitely a impressive Drum line! ![]() This year we tried something new and sang a French Christmas carol -- Il Le Ne. ![]() On Monday we stopped by Cinnamon Park Assisted Living and played our Holiday Tunes. The room was warm and cozy and the audience was very friendly. Their favorite piece was "Wintertime in Russia". We had a fun time playing and hope to be invited to play again soon! Happy Halloween! We enjoyed a casual concert before heading out to Trick-or-Treat. The kids all came in their costumes, violins in hand. A spooky Halloween story and a few silly tunes and they were ready to hit the streets for candy! Thank you parents for coming out to be a part of the concert! ![]() One of our students put on a fun show for us. Tanner Played Hunter's Chorus while hula-hooping! Thank you Tanner -- we were all impressed A big Thank You! to Longmont Orthodontics for the goody bags. The kids put those halloween toothbrushes to good use this evening . . . I hope!
Monday, October 17th marked the anniversary of Dr. Suzuki's birthday. Born on October 17, 1898, he spent the better part of his nearly century-long life helping the world to realize the amazing potential that is poised waiting to be unleashed in every human being. Here is a link to the SAA site detailing his life and work with children.
http://suzukiassociation.org/teachers/suzuki/ In his honor and in appreciation of all the SAA does for you and your teachers, please consider making a donation of $5.00 or more to the "Power of Community" campaign this week. The Suzuki Association of the Americas provides teacher scholarships, program support, course development, quarterly journals and more. If you have a moment, please watch this video and consider making a $5 donation to the SAA so that future teachers in North, Central and South America may access the same high quality education: View the Power of Community Video http://suzukiassociation.org/giving/community/ This year Halloween falls on a Monday so we will be having a Halloween concert in lieu of group classes.
