Megan Titensor
With eleven years of performing and teaching experience, Megan Titensor is a highly qualified professional cellist and educator. Currently, Megan has a large studio of private cello students, performs with the Boulder Chamber Orchestra, and is a freelance musician in the Boulder, Colorado area. Megan completed her Master's degree in Cello Performance at the University of Colorado at Boulder. There, she studied with Judith Glyde as well as Andras Fejer of the Takacs Quartet. Megan earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Utah State University where she gained valuable experience as a soloist and chamber musician and performed in masterclasses for some of the world's most respected musicians, such as Paul Katz, Carter Brey, and the Vermeer and Cavani Quartets. Also an accomplished pianist, Megan has extensive experience as a performer and collaborator, enabling her to accompany her own students. Megan teaches privately in Golden, Longmont, and Louisville. Her students range from young Suzuki cellists to adult beginners. Megan especially enjoys working with children and enhancing their musical development and teaches music and movement classes for The Music Playhouse in Boulder and Louisville. Megan also loves skiing, hiking, and climbing with her husband and is the proud owner of a new road bike. She also enjoys cooking and baking.
