Juliana Wilsey
Juliana Wilsey has been teaching privately for 13 years. She's worked with students from ages 4 up to adults in their 70s. She currently teaches a variety of music classes at Options: group keyboard, beginning strings/orchestra, general music, and chorus. She is establishing her piano studio in Longmont and accompanies the Longmont Suzuki Strings. Juliana began piano at the age of 7 and started teaching at the age of 14. She founded and directed the Syracuse Homeschool Chorus for 3.5 years until she married and moved from New York to Colorado in 2008. Juliana received her B.A. in Music with an emphasis in Piano and her M.S. in Teacher Preparation with an emphasis in Choral Conducting, both from Syracuse University. There she had the privilege of working with Steven Heyman, Dr. John Coggiola, Dr. Elisa Dekaney, Dr. Barbara Marble Tagg and others. Through the University Juliana enjoyed the privilege of performing with the Syracuse Symphony and in other venues. Juliana is a pianist, accompanist, choral director, and K-12 Music Teacher for Options. She loves teaching and making music with others whether in formal teaching situations, accompaniment gigs, at church, or just for fun. Juliana is newly married and loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys doing crafty things, participating in anything athletic, cooking, baking, playing games, writing letters in coffee shops, and listening to music and more.
