Longmont Suzuki Strings

Our Longmont Suzuki Strings Community has experienced the sudden loss of a husband, father, dear friend, and fabulous piano accompanist, Bruce Patterson.  A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, May 2, 10:30am at Central Presbyterian Church in Longmont.  A viewing will be held Friday, May 1, 5-7 pm at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.

Our hearts go out to Arlene and Fiona at this time.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To contribute to the Longmont Suzuki Strings group sympathy flowers, please contact Megan Titensor.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Fiona Patterson Education Fund and sent to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.  Contributions will be collected from studio teachers and at group classes on Mondays.

More information is available at the Vail Daily.

Our donations earned for Pennies For Peace totaled $1011.32!  Thanks to all for your generous contributions and hard work practicing!  We especially want to thank the Greeley Suzuki Flute Studio for contributions.  Please watch our 9News clip here.  What a great concert!

The roads have been sufficiently cleared for our Estes Park families to travel today.  Please join us for our Play for Peace concert today, but be sure to allow for additional travel time.

All students should arrive at 1:30 pm for tuning.  Please refer to our events page for all concert details.  We look forward to a great concert!

Travel safely!

We may have to reschedule our Play for Peace Concert due to the weather.  Our families from Estes Park already have much more snow than others on the Front Range, and it's still coming down!  Our main concern is safety in these poor driving conditions.

A decision will be made at 9:00 am, Saturday, April 18.  We will post the updated decision here on the website and will notify all families via email or phone.

In the event that our concert is canceled, we will reschedule for Saturday, April 25, at 6 pm.

Stay safe and warm!

Liza Hein won first place in the statewide middle school string competition of Colorado Association of Christian Schools in March playing Vivaldi A Minor Concerto, 1st Movement.

Ted Dumont and Douglas Klink were huge hits playing fiddle tunes at the Back Pew Creations Theater Group's Melodrama in Estes Park on March 13, 14, 20, 21 and 22.

Henry Zhang tied for first place in the Yamaha Piano Competition on March 28, and will perform with Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra in summer.

Please congratulate them when you see these students next.  Wow!
